Cash Application Specialist

Overview

The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for accurately applying payments to customer accounts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring that the financial data is current and accurate. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial records.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately apply incoming payments to customer accounts, including checks, wire transfers, and credit card payments.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies in collaboration with the Accounts Receivable team.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and prepare daily and monthly cash application reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of customer payment activities.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of cash application processes.
  • Communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in cash applications or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
